Role Overview 

We're hiring a Copywriter who will own brand voice and written execution across all client and internal touchpoints. This role goes beyond writing individual assets, you will translate strategy into language that moves people, ensure message consistency across platforms, and take accountability for how copy performs, not just how it reads. 

You'll work inside our Creative Pod, receiving task assignments through the Pod VA via Microsoft Planner, collaborating with Designers and Video Editors to support client sprints and campaigns. 

Pod Structure 

The Creative Pod consists of the Pod VA, Graphic Designer, Video Editor, and Copywriter. The Pod VA coordinates task flow, tracks deadlines, and routes all assets through the QA Chain. The Lead Copywriter seat is currently vacant — the Pod VA manages task assignment in the interim. 

Primary Responsibilities 

Brand Voice & Messaging Ownership 

  • Establish and maintain consistent brand voice across all client and internal channels 

  • Translate positioning, offers, and strategy into clear, compelling language that serves a defined audience 

  • Ensure tone, clarity, and messaging alignment across platforms and formats 

  • Guard against off-brand, unclear, or low-conversion copy entering production 

Copy Execution — All Channels 

You will write and/or oversee copy for all major written surfaces, including but not limited to: 

  • Social media captions and post copy (LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook) 

  • Email campaigns, broadcasts, and nurture sequences 

  • Landing pages, sales pages, and funnel copy 

  • Video scripts, hooks, CTAs, and VSL support 

  • Blogs, long-form articles, and thought leadership content 

  • Slide decks, PDFs, lead magnets, and client-facing materials 

Coverage matters. No channel should feel disconnected or inconsistent. 

Conversion & Performance Accountability 

  • Write with clear intent: awareness, engagement, or conversion, every asset has a defined goal 

  • Ensure every piece has a measurable CTA and a reason to exist 

  • Optimize copy based on feedback, data, and performance insights 

  • Collaborate with the Pod VA and broader team to refine messaging when assets underperform 

  • Support A/B testing initiatives where applicable 

This role is not "write it and forget it." It is write → test → refine. 

Campaign & Sprint Support 

  • Support launches, promotions, and sprint-based initiatives with cohesive, deadline-ready messaging 

  • Ensure copy aligns with campaign objectives, timelines, and audience intent 

  • Partner with Designers and Video Editors to ensure message clarity and visual-verbal continuity 

  • Work with the Pod VA on task sequencing, file routing, and revision coordination 

Quality Assurance & Standards 

  • Self-QA before every submission, complete the QA Chain Record, verifying alignment with the project brief, brand guidelines, platform best practices, and file naming before marking work ready for review 

  • Ensure spelling, grammar, formatting, and clarity are non-negotiable on every deliverable 

  • Deliver copy that meets internal "No CEO Touch" quality standards, client-ready on submission 

  • Incorporate feedback quickly and without defensiveness; never repeat the same error twice 

Collaboration & Communication 

  • Receive all task assignments and feedback through Microsoft Planner and Teams 

  • Communicate proactively about timelines, blockers, or brief clarifications, ask strategic questions early to avoid rework 

  • Coordinate with the Pod VA for all revision routing, deadline tracking, and file handoffs 

  • Escalate priority conflicts or resource gaps to the Pod VA for PM-level resolution 

AI Usage & Standards 

AI tools are permitted and encouraged to support ideation, research, outlining, and speed. They are not a replacement for original thinking, brand judgment, or conversion strategy. 

  • Apply human judgment, brand context, and conversion strategy to all AI-assisted outputs 

  • Edit, refine, and elevate AI-generated drafts to meet brand voice, clarity, and performance standards 

  • Ensure all final copy is original, accurate, and indistinguishable from expert human writing 

  • Never submit raw or lightly edited AI output as final work 

The Standard 

AI is a tool here, not a crutch. Quality, clarity, and conversion are always the standard. 

Must Haves 

  • 3+ years of professional copywriting experience (agency or brand) 

  • Demonstrated ability to write conversion-focused copy across multiple channels simultaneously 

  • Strong understanding of brand voice, positioning, and audience psychology 

  • Exceptional attention to detail and self-editing discipline 

  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced, sprint-based environment without sacrificing quality 

  • Clear, confident written and verbal communication 

Nice to Haves 

  • Experience with email platforms (ConvertKit or similar) 

  • Familiarity with funnels, CRO, and CTA optimization 

  • Experience supporting VSLs, paid campaigns, or launches 

  • Background writing for nonprofits, real estate, or coaching brands 

What This Role Is Not 

Clarity on Scope 

This is not a junior content writer role. Not a social media manager position. Not a brand strategist seat, though strategy-awareness is required.  This is a senior execution role inside a structured Creative Pod with real accountability for message clarity and performance. You will be expected to work from briefs, meet deadlines, QA your own work, and own the quality of every word that ships.
